What Are
Connection Groups
Connection
Groups are small groups of people that
meet together around a common interest
or need. They provide a way for building
relationships with others and reflect a
leader’s God-given passion to attract
like-minded people to themselves and
ultimately to God. Their purpose is to
help people move closer to God and
deepen their faith and trust in Him,
which is the heart of East Bay
Fellowship.
Connection
Groups provide the practical context of
realizing our church vision: bringing
people into relationship with God,
healing their brokenness, training and
sending them back into the world to be a
resource for God.
“For where
two or three come together in my name,
there am I with them." (Matthew
18:20) Because of the statement that
Jesus makes, it is very important for
all Christians to be involved in small
groups. This is where real community can
take place, including sharing each
others’ concerns and holding each other
up in prayer. We also tend to grow
faster and stronger when we are
accountable to each other.
Groups
typically meet based on a semester
schedule: At the end of each semester,
you may choose to continue in a group or
move to another group based on current
desire or need.
Connection
Group guidelines include, but are not
limited to the following:
