TO KNOW THE HOPE OF YOUR CALLING

TEXT: Eph. 1:18-19

INTRODUCTION

· What are people thankful for when they think of me? ____________________________

· And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

                                               1 Cor 13:13 (NIV)

EARMARKS OF OUR CALLING:

1) ENLIGHTENMENT

· Photizo (enlighten) = to give light, to shine

· The “eyes of your heart” has to do with how you read things.

2) KNOWLEDGE

· God wants us to know (experience) him

· God wants us to know (see) his hope

3) HOPE

· The hope we’ve been called to can be distilled down to two categories:

a. The hope of being with God - ______________________________________________

CONCLUSION

· May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may

overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.           Rom 15:13 (NIV)
