JESUS: THE MODEL BUILDER

TEXT: Hebrews 3:3-6

INTRODUCTION

· The thread that runs through every strategic pillar of our mission, as a church is building loving relationships.  

1) JESUS IS THE MASTER BUILDER OF GOD’S HOUSE

· We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.   I John 1:3 (NIV)

2) JESUS IS BUILDING A HOUSE OF RELATIONSHIPS

· Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.   Ephesians 2:19-20 (NIV)

3) JESUS IS THE FOUNDATION OF GOD’S MODEL HOUSE

· For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.  If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work.   1 Corinthians 3:10-13 (NIV)
