TEXT: John 21:15-22

INTRODUCTION [Sermon Leader – spousal disagreement]

AN INITIATOR:

1)    SEES THE UNSPOKEN CONFLICT

How do you see unspoken conflict?

a) Be willing to see it

b) Ask for the Holy Spirit’s help

c) Take the time to listen

2)    SEARCHES FOR THE BEST APPROACH

Being a person who builds loving relationships with Jesus means approaching people in the way that works best for them.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.  Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV)

3)    SPEAKS SPECIFICALLY WHAT IS NEEDED

Being specific means:

a) Knowing what you need

b) Communicating that need
