GOD MY PROVIDER

TEXT: Gen. 22:

INTRODUCTION

·        One very clear thing we can know about God is that he loves to give his children the desires of their hearts.

·        “Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.”   Ps 37:4 (NIV)

1)      GOD WANTS TO PROVIDE FOR ME

·        "Don't recite the same prayer over and over as the heathen do, who think prayers are answered only by repeating them again and again. Remember, your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!”   Matt 6:7 (TLB)

2)      GOD WANTS TO PROVIDE IN ME

·        For God the issue of provision is always about trust.

·        “So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?  No servant can serve two masters.  Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and Money."   Luke 16:11, 13 (NIV)

·        Fear is the great obstacle to faith and provision.  It is the enemy of trust.

3)      GOD WANTS TO PROVIDE THROUGH ME

·        And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.   Phil 4:19 (NIV)

CONCLUSION

·        “Oh Lord, please just obey me.”
