ENOCH – WALKING WITH GOD

TEXT: Heb. 11

INTRODUCTION

·       Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.   Gen 5:24 (NIV)

1)     BELIEVING THAT HE IS

·       "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"   John 8:58 (NIV)

2)     LIVING A LIFE THAT PLEASES HIM

·       "I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people in gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." -James Madison, 1788

3)     LOOKING FORWARD TO THE RIGHT REWARDS

·       “He walked side-by-side with God every day.  And one day God just turned to him and said, ‘You’re closer to my house now.  Just come on in.’”      Leslie Keegal

CONCLUSION

·       He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you?  To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.   Micah 6:8 (NIV)
