NOAH – BUILDING A SAFE PLACE TO LIVE

TEXT: Heb. 11:7

INTRODUCTION

· God wants to use the pressures in our generation to mold us into supernatural heroes who build an environment of safety that people can come into for shelter.

WE BUILD A SAFE PLACE BY:

1)         PICKING UP THE WARNING SIGNALS

· A safe person is someone who listens to the counsel of God.

2)         CULTIVATING THE FEAR OF GOD

· “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” (Prov. 9:10)

· “Be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matt. 10:28)

3)         BUILDING ACCORDING TO GOD'S PLANS

· Spiritual heroes don’t just hear a direction and go for it.  They keep seeking God for the details.

4)         REFUSING THE WORLD’S OFFER

· Once we understand the fear of God it (or rather he) becomes a safe place for us, a refuge, and our inheritance.

CONCLUSION

· Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.
