FAITH IN OUR FATHER

TEXT: John 14:1

INTRODUCTION

· As bad as you are, you know how to give good things to your children. How much more, then, will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!                                                                               Matt 7:11 (TEV)

1) TROUBLE IS A CHOICE

· The word troubled means “to agitate or stir up”.

· But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."                                                                  Josh 24:15 (NIV)

2) TRUST IS THE OTHER CHOICE

· …we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it.  How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live!

3) TRUST LEADS TO GOD’S PLACE OF CHOICE

· Jesus describes trust in our father as

a. foundation

b. reward

· Anyone who wants to come to God must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely look for him.                   Heb 11:6 (TLB)
