LOST SPIRITUALLY

TEXT: Eph. 2:11-12

INTRODUCTION

· According to Gene Edward Veith the technical term for the general view of theology among current youth is “Moralistic Therapeutic Deism.”

1) REMEMBER WHAT IT MEANS TO BE LOST

· Paul defines the condition of a lost soul with 5 characteristics:

a. No Jesus = No Savior

b. No Citizenship = No Home

c. No Covenants = No Guarantees

d. No Hope = No Future

e. No God = No Power

2) REMEMBER WHAT IT MEANS TO BE FOUND

· The danger is that we might stop appreciating the fact that everything we have received came to us by grace.

· However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.   Luke 10:20 (NIV)

CONCLUSION

· For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.   Luke 19:10 (NIV)
