COMMUNITY OF THE LOST

TEXT: Gal. 5:19-21

INTRODUCTION

· There are all sorts of communities being formed around us every day.

· The Bible teaches that there are basically only two communities: the community of the lost and the community of the found.

1) SEXUAL IMMORALITY

· Remember Sodom and Gomorrah, and the nearby towns, whose people… indulged in sexual immorality and perversion: they suffer the punishment of eternal fire as a plain warning to all.   Jude 1:7 (TEV)

2) IDOLATRY/REALITY

· The three words from this passage that fit into this category are:

a. Idolatry

b. Witchcraft

c. Drunkenness

3) SELFISH AMBITION

· For wherever there is jealousy or selfish ambition, there will be disorder and every other kind of evil.   James 3:16 (TLB)

CONCLUSION

· What is the one difference between the community of the lost and the community of the found?  God
