MONEY AND THANKSGIVING

TEXT: 2 Cor. 9:6-15

INTRODUCTION

· We can choose to give out of the heart of God or God will get about the business of

changing our hearts.  Giving and generosity are not options with him.  They are a way of

     life…forever!

1) HOW ARE WE GIVING?

· O Lord, make me an instrument of Your Peace!

Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon.

Where there is discord, harmony. Where there is doubt, faith.

Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light.

Where there is sorrow, joy.
     St. Francis of Assisi, 1182-1226

2) WHAT IS IT PRODUCING?

· Some people spend their money freely and still grow richer. Others are cautious, and yet grow poorer.                                              Prov 11:24 (TEV)

3) WHY ARE WE DOING IT?

· We love because he first loved us.

CONCLUSION

· Yes, God will give you much so that you can give away much, and when we take your

gifts to those who need them they will break out into thanksgiving and praise to God for

     your help. So two good things happen as a result of your gifts-- those in need are helped,

     and they overflow with thanks to God.
