THE INTERRUPTION OF TIME

TEXT: Galatians 4:4-6

INTRODUCTION

· Everything that happened in that first Christmas season was about the interruption of time.

· This is the incarnation: Jesus interrupting time to introduce us to eternity!

1) WHEN THE TIME HAD FULLY COME

· As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain.  For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of  salvation.   2 Corinthians 6:1-2 (NIV)

2) GOD SENT HIS SON

· This is what the LORD says: "In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances…”   Isaiah 49:8 (NIV)

3) INTO OUR HEARTS TO CALL OUT “FATHER”

· “Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me.  Yet not what I will, but what you will."   Mark 14:36 (NIV)

CONCLUSION
